Post 10: Evaluation of your Blogging Experience

So, this is the end of the blog and I think everything happened too fast. The truth is that I enjoyed write in this blog because I discovered that knew more vocabulary of that I believed. Also I confirmed that my great strength in English is the writting how I said when We started the course. 

I believe that my writing skills increased during this course and the realization of this blog, because I learned new vocabulary and now I write faster and I don't have think much like at the start. 

As I have to do the course of English 4, I would like that the next blog is centred in more subjects about our careers, for learn a more technical language that We can use in the future or in other courses because the bibliography sometimes is in english. Also, I think that is very important write about topics about Chile, because of this way We can talk with foreign and We can explain about what happens in this country. 

Finally, I would like that also We can see movies or short films and will write reviews about this for to continue practicing writting. 

Post 9: My Festivity

I think that Christmas is a festivity very amazing and this is my favorite, although my birthday also I like it but today I would talk about Christmas. This festivity is celebrated on December, 25, because in this date is accepted the birth of Jesus Christ and how is a religious festivity, many religions celebrate on this day and commemorate the birth of Jesus. 

Although in the Bible, the birth of Jesus isn't specified, the Catolica Church determined that the December 25 all the christians will celebrate the Christmas and will remmeber the God's message, but when We see the celebration of Christmas actually, maybe is a little different to was expected, because the people only thinks in buy and teir go crazy for the purchases and gifts. However, the main activities is arm the easter tree with many ornaments, put christmas light on the house and have a nice dinner on December 24 at night, before Christmas. 

This festivity is the perfect day for to be with family and eat a lot and very delicious and for this reasons I like very much Christmas. In my family, always on December 24 at night make a dinner not traditional like a turkeycook, We make differents foods like tacos or pizza with many ingredients and I like this because is how our tradition for Christmas.

Post 8: A Subject I have enjoyed studying this semester

The truth, It's very easy for me to talk about a subject that I enjoy because this semester I'm studying the specialty of social anthropology and We can choose our courses, there are not courses obligatory. For this reason, when I organized my timetable I chose courses that were different courses of the first two years of the career. 

So, I would like about my course named 'Theory of the culture' with the professor Juan Le-Bert, where all the mondays our class start at 8:30 am and read a different book in each class about different topics of the anthropology but in modern society. All the mondays We talk about te book of this week and We discuss between our. 

In the last class We talk about Freud and his psychoanalysis, Focault, Bordieu and others authors who wrote about how this society changes with technology and our relationships now are different.

This class I like very much because We can see topics different, that not common or traditional in anthropology, because many times the discipline talk about topics very old that not adapt to times that We are living actually. 

Post 7: An Expert on your field

This topic is so difficult for me because in my career are many anthropologist that I like for his work, but when I think in someone about who talk , I can't choose to one of them because this people is cut off from me. For this reason, I would like talk about a teacher that I knowed this semester when I chose the specialty of social anthropology and took his course named Teoría de la Cultura, that is a course very important for our learning in anthropology because the objective is study topics contemporary of our culture since the theory anthropological. This teacher is Juan Le-Bert, an anthropologist from University of Chile with the specialty in social anthropology, that work in this university since many years ago, making classes about different topics. 

One of the reasons for choose it is his work about anthropology and films, and the relation that exist between both, but also for the way in that makes that the anthropology and his theory is something close to our daily life and not something academic. 

Post 5: My favorite photograph

I would like talk about a photograph that was take for Margaret Mead during her field work in Samoa, when She went to study the sexual practices in adolescents of Samoa. In this field work, Mead lived with the Samoa people for a long time like one of theirs. In this photograph We can see to Margaret Mead talk with a mother and your son in the place where They lives.  

This photograph was taken in 1928 y and , in my opinion, is a photograph that show very good the essence of the anthropological practice, that is talk with the people and know your culture in the daily life, in addition of yours traditions, religions, language and others elements that only We can know by this social interaction with the people. 

This interaction with the people for know your culture is very interesting for me and for this reason, I like very much study anthropology, because the field work have like a objective that the anthropologist might convert into one more of the tribe, family, community or any other social group. 

Post 4: My Best Friend

For me, It is difficult to use the word friend and I don't understand people who use this word with any person. 

I have a few friends very close, and Ingrid is one of these friends. 

I met her in the school  7 years ago when both were very young and although Ingrid and me are very different because We don't have anything in common and our interest are very different, since the first moment We were very good friends. 

She is very sensitive, a little insecure and very distracted , but all these characteristics make her special. She is my friend because She is very understanding and She knows everything about me, and She helps me when I have problems or just need a hug. 

I have many memories with her, She always accompanies me at the cinema when nobody wants, but the most important memory that I have with her is when She went to my graduation of Bachillerato  last year with my family. 

She is a very good friend.
